Organic-Inorganic Combo Boosts Radish Yield and Nutrition, Transforming Diets Worldwide
The researchers studied how different types of fertilizers affect the growth and quality of radish plants. They tested 10 treatments using organic manures, inorganic fertilizers, and combinations of both. The best results were seen with a mix of 75% NPK fertilizer and 25% nitrogen from vermicompost, which led to the highest growth and quality of radish roots. This treatment resulted in the highest shoot weight, SPAD value, fiber content, sugar content, and ascorbic acid content in the roots. Overall, combining organic and inorganic fertilizers improved the growth and quality of radish plants compared to using only one type of fertilizer.
