Optimizing plant spacing and nitrogen levels boosts Asiatic lily bulb yield.
A study looked at how close together to plant Asiatic lilies and how much nitrogen to use to grow bigger bulbs. They tested different spacings and nitrogen levels in a field trial. The best results came from spacing the plants 30 cm apart and using 200 kg of nitrogen per hectare. This led to more bulbs and bulblets per plant, bigger bulbs, and higher bulb yields.
