Paper Summary

Heterosis breeding was used to improve tomato yield and quality. A study was conducted using a half diallel design with 21 F1 hybrids from seven local and exotic lines. These hybrids showed significant differences in yield traits compared to the parents. The hybrids AVTO-2 x AT-4 and AVTO-3 x AVTO-4 exhibited the highest heterosis for fruit yield and other important traits, suggesting they have commercial potential.
