Researchers studied how different combinations of muskmelon plants can produce better growth, earliness, and yield. They crossed ten lines with three testers to create 30 hybrid plants. Most of these hybrids showed significant improvements in fruit yield compared to the original plants. The combination of KM-2 and PS had the highest increase in fruit yield per vine and per hectare.
