Amur Common Carp Outperforms Catla in Growth Performance at Farm Ponds
A study compared the growth of Amur common carp and Catla fish in farm ponds in Karnataka. Amur common carp grew bigger and faster than Catla in both ponds. They also had higher survival rates. This suggests that Amur common carp could be a good alternative to other fish species for farming, especially when paired with Catla in a 50:50 ratio.
