Process mining techniques were improved to balance the quality of discovered process models with their complexity. By using event-level attributes in event logs, a new framework was developed to create hierarchical process models that capture different levels of process details. This framework was tested with real-life event logs and found to be effective in improving the quality and understandability of process mining results.
