New brinjal hybrids show significant increase in fruit yield potential.
Researchers studied the fruit yield and traits of brinjal plants to see how well hybrids performed compared to their parents. They created 45 hybrids using a special breeding method and found that some hybrids had significantly higher fruit yield than the best parent. The study showed that certain hybrid combinations produced more fruit than the standard check variety. This suggests that there is potential to develop new high-yielding brinjal varieties through hybridization.
