Boosting Crop Yields and Soil Health with Integrated Nutrient Management
A study looked at how different types of fertilizers and organic materials affect the soil in a rice-wheat cropping system. They found that adding organic materials like farmyard manure and biogas slurry, along with inorganic fertilizers, improved the soil's organic carbon, nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium levels. The best results were seen when using a combination of inorganic fertilizers and wheat straw. This approach significantly increased the soil's nutrient content, making it more fertile for growing crops.
