Organic manures boost garlic yield, revolutionizing farming practices worldwide.
The study looked at how different types of fertilizers affect the growth and yield of garlic plants. They tested ten treatments and found that using a mix of inorganic fertilizer, farmyard manure, and vermicompost resulted in the highest bulb weight, size, and yield. This combination produced garlic plants with the tallest height, largest diameter, and longest leaves. The bulbs were heavier, longer, and had more cloves compared to other treatments. Overall, the treatment with 50% inorganic fertilizer, 7.5 tons of farmyard manure, and 2 tons of vermicompost gave the best results in terms of garlic yield.
