Organic Fertilizers Boost Okra Yields, Offer Affordable Nutrition for Farmers
A study in Nepal looked at how different fertilizers affect the growth and yield of Okra plants. They tested five types of fertilizers and found that vermicompost and poultry manure led to the highest flower and pod numbers, as well as the best overall yield. The plants treated with these fertilizers were taller and had more leaves compared to those treated with other fertilizers or no fertilizer at all. This suggests that using poultry manure or vermicompost can help Okra plants grow better and produce more fruits, leading to higher economic returns.
