EU countries categorized by prosperity levels, revealing economic disparities reduction.
The article analyzed how EU countries compare in terms of economic and social development using five different international indices. By using cluster analysis, the researchers grouped the countries based on their rankings in these indices for 2011 and 2018. They found that most EU countries stayed in the same clusters over time, but six countries improved their position and joined more prosperous clusters in 2018. The study also showed that economic disparities among EU countries decreased during the period analyzed. This research can help identify areas for policy reforms in different countries based on their strengths and weaknesses.
