Foliar feeding litchi plants with potassium nitrate (KNO3) at 1% concentration after 10 days of fruit set increased fruit yield by 14% and improved fruit quality parameters like TSS/acid ratio and total sugars. The study also found that the color values of the fruits were enhanced, and leaf nitrogen and potassium contents were significantly higher. Overall, a single spray of KNO3 at the right time can lead to bigger, sweeter litchi fruits with better quality.
