Genetic variability in okra plants was studied to understand traits affecting yield. Different okra genotypes showed significant differences in traits like fruit weight and plant height. Some traits, like resistance to viruses and pests, had a wide range of genetic variability. Traits like average fruit weight and plant height were found to be less affected by the environment and more influenced by genetics. This means that selecting plants based on these traits could lead to better yields.
