New model predicts higher soil loss in river catchment study.
Soil erosion is a big problem caused by farming, bad soil, and heavy rain. Scientists made models to predict soil loss. They compared two models, WEPP and USLE, in the Karli river area. WEPP predicted more soil loss than USLE. WEPP said 51.67 tons of soil per hectare per year were lost, while USLE said 42.66 tons.
