Researchers studied the effects of plant growth regulators (PGRs) on the pod characteristics and yield of cluster beans in India. They tested 13 different treatments on the Pusa Navbahar variety of cluster beans over two summers. The results showed that the treatment with GA3 at a concentration of 20 mg l-1 had the best outcomes in terms of pod number, size, weight, seed number, yield, and harvest index. The application of GA3 at this concentration also resulted in the highest green pod yield and a good benefit-cost ratio.
