A study tested different weed control methods in lentil crops. They used herbicides like pendimethalin and imazethapyr in various combinations and timings. The results showed that applying herbicides improved lentil plant growth and seed yield while reducing weed growth. However, having no weeds at all gave the highest lentil yield. Applying pendimethalin before planting lentils worked better than applying it after, and applying imazethapyr before planting was better than applying it after. Combining pendimethalin and imazethapyr together gave the best results for plant growth, yield, and weed control.
