Seasonal changes impact Osmanabadi goat health in Chhattisgarh plains.
The study looked at how the seasons affect the blood chemistry of Osmanabadi goats in Chhattisgarh. Blood samples were taken from 20 female goats each month during summer, rainy, and winter. The results showed that the levels of glucose, protein, albumin, globulin, Albumin: Globulin ratio, and blood urea nitrogen varied significantly depending on the season. In summer, the total protein levels were higher compared to rainy and winter seasons. The same trend was seen in globulin and blood urea nitrogen levels, while albumin, A:G ratio, and glucose levels showed the opposite pattern. This study provides important information on how the seasons can impact the health of Osmanabadi goats in this region.
