Financial turmoil looms as private banks in India face profit disparities.
The article examines the financial performance of selected private sector banks in India from 2011-12 to 2018-19. The study used statistical tools like Net Profit Ratio and ANOVA test to evaluate the banks. Results show that HDFC Bank has consistently high profits and good management. Yes Bank is facing financial difficulties due to governance issues. Axis Bank and ICICI Bank are slowly declining. Jammu and Kashmir Bank suffered losses during unrest in 2016-17. The study highlights the importance of assessing bank performance in the current scenario where many banks are struggling with Non-Performing Assets.
