Organic vs inorganic nutrients: Boosting crop yields and soil fertility balance.
The researchers studied how different types of nutrients affect the growth and yield of urdbean and wheat crops. They found that using farmyard manure and phosphorus led to better plant growth and higher grain yield in urdbean. Wheat yield was highest when 100% of recommended fertilizer was used. After two crop cycles, the soil had the least depletion of nitrogen and potassium when farmyard manure and phosphorus were applied to urdbean along with recommended fertilizer for wheat.
