Muslim CEOs Drive Positive Social Change Through Islamic Reporting in Indonesia.
The study looked at how having a Muslim CEO affects a company's disclosure of Islamic Social Reporting (ISR). They analyzed data from firms listed in the Jakarta Islamic Index from 2016 to 2018. The results showed that having a Muslim CEO is linked to increased ISR disclosure. This suggests that the CEO's background, especially in terms of religion, plays a significant role in promoting CSR engagement within a corporation.
