Optimal sowing dates and nitrogen levels boost browntop millet yields.
A study looked at how planting dates and nitrogen levels affect the growth and yield of browntop millet. They planted on different dates and used varying amounts of nitrogen. Results showed that planting on June 15th led to taller plants, more tillers, longer panicles, and higher grain and straw yields. Using 60 kg of nitrogen per hectare also resulted in better plant growth and higher yields.
