Climate Change Threatens Vulnerable Populations Worldwide, Urgent Action Needed
Climate change is real and mostly caused by human activities releasing greenhouse gases. It affects weather, health, and economies, especially hitting low-income and coastal communities hard. Efforts to reduce emissions and adapt to climate effects can still make a positive impact, even if too late to prevent some immediate climate problems. These actions could cost as little as 1% of global GDP annually, and the sooner we act, the cheaper it will be. The goal is to mitigate emissions and prepare for climate impacts through a mix of rules and incentives, which could protect future generations from irreversible harm.
