The study looked at making homes in Bhutan more energy-efficient. They analyzed a flat in Thimphu and found that adding insulation can decrease the energy needed to heat the space. By simulating different scenarios, they discovered that insulating the attic can lead to big energy savings. The highest reduction in energy demand (up to 64%) was achieved when both the attic and walls were insulated. This research suggests that properly insulating your home can significantly cut down on the energy needed for heating, making it more efficient and cost-effective.
