Revolutionary Mulching Technique Boosts Sunflower Yield to Record Levels
A study was conducted to see how different ways of covering the soil and conserving water affect sunflower growth. The experiment took place in a farm with specific soil conditions and weather patterns. Seven methods were tested, including using straw, dust, and organic material, as well as changing the way the soil was arranged. The best results were seen when furrows were opened at a certain time, leading to taller plants, more leaves, and bigger sunflower heads. This method also resulted in more seeds being filled and a higher yield of sunflower seeds.
