New hybrid ridge gourd boosts fruit yield by up to 36%!
Researchers studied 21 different crosses of ridge gourd plants to see how well they produced fruit. They found that many of the hybrids produced more fruit than the original parents. Some combinations showed a significant increase in fruit yield, with one particular cross showing the highest increase. This cross also had better traits like longer vines, more branches, and bigger fruits. Overall, the study showed that combining different ridge gourd plants can lead to better fruit production with improved characteristics.
