Fruit growth boost: Plant hormones increase mango yield and quality.
The study looked at how different plant growth regulators affect the yield and characteristics of mango fruits. They tested three types of regulators at different concentrations on mango trees. The results showed that spraying a certain concentration of GA3 at specific stages of fruit development increased the number of fruits and total yield. It also improved the size and weight of the fruits. On the other hand, using NAA and 2, 4-D at certain concentrations reduced the weight of the stone and peel of the fruits. Overall, spraying 35 ppm of NAA, GA3, or 2, 4-D was found to be the best for improving the yield and quality of mango fruits.
