Infertility duration and oocyte count linked to IVF success rates.
The study aimed to find out why some IVF treatments fail to fertilize eggs properly. Researchers looked at over 4,000 patients and found that factors like how long a person has been infertile, the number of eggs retrieved, and the cause of infertility can affect fertilization success. Female age, duration of treatment, and hormone dosages did not seem to play a big role. The type of infertility and how long a person has been infertile were the most important factors in determining fertilization success in IVF treatments.
