Myricetin Protects Male Fertility from Chemotherapy Damage
The researchers wanted to see if myricetin could help reduce the damage to male mouse reproductive systems caused by a drug called cyclophosphamide. They tested this by giving mice cyclophosphamide daily for 7 days and then treating some mice with different doses of myricetin for 30 days. They found that mice treated with myricetin had better testicular health than those not treated. The sperm quality of the treated mice was also better compared to mice that did not get myricetin. This suggests that myricetin might help protect male reproductive health from damage caused by cyclophosphamide.
