Indonesian SMEs Lagging in Halal Certification Despite Supply Chain Awareness
The study looked at how small and medium food and beverage businesses in Indonesia understand the halal supply chain and certification. The goal was to see if these businesses are ready for the upcoming halal certification program. By surveying 50 businesses, the researchers found that many SMEs already know about halal certification but haven't registered yet. This shows that there is still work to be done to get more businesses certified.
