Growth Hormone Boosts IVF Success for Older Women with Low Ovarian Reserve
The study looked at how growth hormone (GH) treatment affects the outcomes of women with poor ovarian response undergoing IVF/ICSI treatment. They used a new criteria called POSEIDON to group patients based on ovarian reserve and age. The results showed that GH treatment improved ovarian response and live birth rates in older patients with poor ovarian reserve. Specifically, it increased the number of good-quality embryos and decreased the miscarriage rate in this group. However, GH treatment did not have the same benefits for patients with normal ovarian reserve or those under 35 with poor ovarian response.
