The article discusses a new method to improve the accuracy of detecting edges in images. By combining a discrete algorithm with the classical Canny operator, the researchers were able to establish an edge model using data points and adjust parameters based on the image's gray levels. The experiments showed that this approach achieved a 99% accuracy in detecting features in images, making it a promising technique for practical applications in image edge detection.
