Solar control films reduce glare and save energy in buildings.
The study looked at how applying special films on windows can affect the amount of natural light that comes into a building. By testing different films on a small model in Lisbon, the researchers found that all films reduced the amount of light inside. This means that these films could be useful for improving the comfort of indoor spaces when there is too much light coming in.
