Geofabriform technology improves the seismic performance of tailings dams. Shaking table tests show that dams with geofabriform have less horizontal displacement and acceleration amplification compared to dams without it. The geotextile bags in the dam move upwards and tilt during earthquakes. To enhance dam safety, drainage measures and anti-slide piles should be added to the geotextile bags.
