Jiaozhou Bay Bottom Waters Heavily Polluted by Lead Content.
The study looked at lead levels in the bottom waters of Jiaozhou Bay from the south to the center. Results showed that in May, August, and October, lead content ranged from 4.20 to 24.39μg/L, meeting national water quality standards. This suggests that during these months, the water was slightly to heavily polluted by lead. The study revealed that human discharge of lead has severely polluted the bay's bottom waters. Lead content settled heavily in different areas: in May, the southeast; in August, the center; in October, the south. Overall, lead levels in Jiaozhou Bay varied by month and location, showing high deposition.
