Outdated forest practices fueling increase in forest fires in Far East.
The article discusses the state of forests in the Far Eastern Federal District, focusing on factors affecting their quality and the increase in forest fires. Outdated forest management practices contribute to forest degradation. To address this, a comprehensive approach to reforestation is proposed, combining forest plantation creation with improved logging techniques. This approach aims to reduce reforestation costs and speed up forest recovery. The study suggests changing forest management strategies to meet environmental, economic, and social needs in the region.
