This article discusses how different approaches to public management have evolved over time, from Old Public Administration to New Public Management and New Public Service, aiming to achieve world-class Public Management. The ideas of these concepts have been critiqued and counter-critiqued, with a focus on comparing them from an Indonesian perspective.
