New method revolutionizes volcanic rock identification, boosting accuracy and efficiency.
The decision tree method was used to identify different types of volcanic rocks in the Mesozoic era in the Laizhouwan Sag. By analyzing various logging data and core samples, six key parameters were identified as sensitive to volcanic rock responses. These parameters were used to create a tree-like structure to classify the rocks accurately. The combination of traditional logging, imaging logging, and the decision tree method significantly improved the accuracy of identifying volcanic rock lithology.
