The goal of the study was to help native learners in South Africa understand SQL queries better by translating them from English to local languages. The researchers created a tool called Local-Nar-SQL that uses a Finite Machine to do this translation. They found that most participants found this tool helpful in learning SQL queries in their local languages. This tool can make it easier for native learners to work with SQL and overcome language barriers in programming education.
