Truck brake performance significantly improved with new axle load model.
The researchers built a model to predict how heavy trucks perform when loaded. They tested the model on a real truck and found it to be accurate within 3.17%. By analyzing different factors like height and stiffness, they discovered how loading affects braking. After loading, the braking force on the first axle increased by 30.6%, the second axle by 73.3%, and the third axle by 5%.
