New member states (NMS) of the European Union (EU) have seen improvements in their agriculture since joining in 2004. They have benefited from increased trade opportunities and support from the Common Agricultural Policy. A study analyzed the trade patterns of NMS and old member states (OMS) to understand differences and similarities. Major export products and trade concentration were identified, shedding light on the performance of NMS' agricultural sector.
