Maize-Soybean Intercropping Boosts Biomass Yield and Protein Content!
Maize grown with soybean can increase biomass yield for silage. Different maize hybrids and soybean cultivars affect the yield. Hybrids LG6030 and P30F53 produce higher biomass for silage. Soybean cultivar TMG7062 has higher protein content than P95R51. Grain yield of maize varies with hybrid, but intercropping with soybean doesn't significantly impact it. Intercropping soybean TMG7062 with maize P1630 may reduce maize grain yield.
