The goal of the research was to find a better way to manage waste in Morocco by using it as fuel in cement kilns. The researchers studied the combustible parts of household waste and found that they can be a sustainable energy source with high heat value. By replacing some fossil fuels with this waste, the cement plants can reduce pollution and save money.
