Sugarcane Farmers Boost Yields and Profits with Organic-Inorganic Fertilizer Combo
Researchers in Rajasthan studied how different nutrient management approaches impact soil health and sugarcane production. They tested nine strategies over three years and found that using 10 tons of farmyard manure per hectare plus helpful bacteria and soil recommendations resulted in better outcomes. This approach led to improved germination rates, higher cane yields, and better quality sugar production. The soil also benefited from this method, with higher levels of nutrients and better soil structure. This study shows that a combination of organic and inorganic sources tailored to the soil's needs can keep sugarcane fields healthy and productive in Rajasthan.
