Economic growth doesn't always lead to democracy in China. Just like Japan and Germany in the 1930s, China's rise could lead to conflict without political reform. The US needs to push for democratization in China to have a stable relationship. The focus should be on constitutional reform, not just changing leaders in the communist party.
