Mapping Stunting Risk Factors Could Revolutionize Child Health Interventions
Stunting in toddlers, where they are shorter for their age, is influenced by factors like access to clean water and handwashing habits. A study used a method called Geographically Weighted Regression Kriging to analyze these factors in Malang. This method looks at how nearby areas affect each other. The results showed that a specific type of weighting function worked better than others. The study created maps predicting stunting rates in the area.
