The article introduces a new method for creating decision support systems that help groups of people make decisions together. This method combines the individual ways that each person thinks with how their decisions interact. By using this model, extreme group behaviors can be prevented, and the right information can be shared between decision makers. The researchers tested this model in a real-world scenario involving Maritime Surveillance, where operators had to reach a single decision quickly. The study suggests a design methodology for decision support systems based on this approach.
