Unlocking Digital Business Success: New Method for Collaborative Model Design
Digital technologies have changed how businesses operate, leading to a rise in Digital Platform Business Strategies. These strategies require specific Business Models, but guidance is lacking. A new method has been developed to help businesses create these models by deriving requirements from their Digital Platform Business Strategy. By using a Catalogue of Strategy Elements, the method generates Subobjectives and Business Model Design Requirement Specification Cards to guide the process. The approach was tested with a historical platform case study and successfully produced structured Business Model Design Requirements aligned with the Business Strategy, offering new possibilities for business model development.
