The study tested a new method called Mechanized System Rice Intensification (MSRI) for growing rice in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. Traditional rice cultivation methods were compared with MSRI in farmer fields over two seasons. MSRI resulted in a 20.76% increase in rice yield compared to traditional methods. This led to farmers earning an additional income of Rs.15038 due to higher grain yield and reduced costs.
