Maize–legume strip cropping in northern Ghana can increase farmers' income and reduce financial risk. By planting two rows of maize and four rows of legumes, farmers can save land, triple their income, and cut the risk of financial loss by 75%. This cropping system is beneficial for smallholder farmers in the region and similar areas in West Africa.
