New fertilizers boost crop yields while restoring soil nutrients balance
The study looked at how different types of fertilizers affect the nutrients in soil and crop yields. They found that as grain yield increased, more nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium were taken from the soil. The balance of these nutrients depended on both the yield and the amount of fertilizer used. Increasing grain yield led to a decrease in nitrogen and phosphorus balance, with all variants showing a negative balance. Potassium balance was also negative and decreased as yield increased.
